Deer season is upon us again and by now the cat and mouse game of keeping your deer feeders running all season has begun. With the help of a few items below you should have no problem doing some quick field repairs on anything other than a major component failure.
- ¼” 16-14 Gauge (Blue) Female crimp-on quick disconnects
- For wire-to-battery or wire-to- motor terminal
- 16-14 (Blue) Gauge multi-stack connectors
- Great for connecting both a solar panel and a timer to the battery
- 16-14 (Blue) Gauge crimp-on butt connectors
- For a quick wire-to-wire
- 12-10 (Yellow) Gauge crimp-on butt connectors
- In case you need to cram two wires into one of the ends of the connector.
- Electrical Tape
- Wrap all your crimp-on connectors to minimize moisture and corrosion
- 11”+ Cable Ties
- Securing wires, batteries, and there are a million other uses(black resist UV better)
- Crimper/Stripper/Cutter Tool
- Get one with the crimper at the tip of the tool, otherwise it can be difficult to crimp inside the feeder assembly/housing
